The journey continues south of Hikkaduwa into Tangalle, an area hit hard by the tsunami which is now recovering.  Tangalle is a fishing town which boasts one of the largest bays in Sri Lanka and amazing eco system.  We stay at Ishara Cabana which has large, clean rooms for 1500RS and amazing food cooked out of the smallest kitchen I’ve ever seen. Amazing lobster and spicy calamaris served by Gihan, the hotel manager who looks like a Sri Lankan Tupac and dresses like him too!  We learn a Sri Lankan board game-Carrom-over Kingfishers and a smoke.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrom

After a few lost hands, I suggest a game of Texas hold em and it turns out I’m not very good at either game and end up drinking alot of Kingfisher which makes waking up for the elephant retreat very hard!!!
